Launched in June 2011, Politics Matters is a virtual community dedicated to communicating and analysing political developments in the UK and further afield. Our efforts to achieve this are focused around providing high quality analysis and scrutiny of political developments in the UK, from Whitehall to Townhall. Through our collective endeavour we hope to widen participation and engagement in politics. View the Politics Matters strategic direction here.

These objectives are deliberately ambitious and to achieve them we need the political community and the public to engage with our discussion. With this in mind if you want to be involved in this fun, innovative and exciting collaboration, Politics Matters is always on the lookout for new, high quality contributors – see our Jobs section for more information. Alternatively if you are less interested in writing for us but still interested in what we do, we would still like to hear from you with your opinions, general support or opportunities for collaboration and events.

To find out more about who we are, where we come from and what we write about please visit our Meet the team section, and if you have any questions about Politics Matters, want to comment on us, collaborate with us or generally interact please Contact us at the stated places or anywhere on the site.

Finally, Politics Matters is not politically affiliated and the expression of a wide variety of political views is encouraged.

Politics really does matter so spread the word…
